The Brief for this cover design for Tarnished Magazine asked for a cover that had an oversaturated color pallate and inluded aluminum to reference the tenth anniversery of the magazine. The final design keeps this in mind as it alludes to a meteor shower in space.
The design was made by compositing a photogaph of an aluminum ball over a sheet of crumpled aluminum. The ball was digitally replicated and altered and finally the result was heavily edited using blending modes, blur filters and oversaturation.
